Far from the fields that we were born out on - there's an old stone city home that you adore now. You'd trade the traffic for the trees any day don't I know it, love. You'd trade the absent eyes for the painted night skies above.
Imagination came with hesitance. Took it's sweet time settling in. Had you'da seen us back then, we were starved of wandering. If you could see me now, believe me how you'd be wondering.
Run down to the seafront. Watch the tide roll in in waves. Feel the deepening blue surround you now.Far from the fields that we would run through there's a black cloud of rain ready to fall soon. The passing bodies, they'll just ignore you. Don't care where you've come from, where you're going to.
July came easy, blessed with the weather. We could've died there easy now together. When the summertime sheds it's skin, we'll remember all the good talks by the ember.
Run down to the seafront. Watch the tide roll in in waves. Feel the deepening blue surround you now.
Run far from the others. I found myself a visionary. Watch me love her.
I couldn't always hold you near and know what it needed all the time. Frightened by the shadow from a stone, battle to the bone like I know you do.Run down to the seafront. Watch the tide roll in in waves. Feel the deepening blue surround you now.
Run far from the others. I found myself a visionary. Watch me love her.
